When we upgrade our hardware, we often don’t realize that we also need to upgrade our software and our thinking. This is pretty much seamless and invisible to me when I get a new smartphone. I plug it in and it prompts me through every step to get it going. While I set up my new device, the built-in prompts upgrade the software, then they upgrade my brain: they teach me so easily that I don’t even notice I’m learning something! Sad to say, though, it’s not so easy when we need a new server at the office, or a new wifi router, or any new technology. We upgrade the server or get a new laptop. Then we try to use the software we had before, and it won’t work. So we upgrade it too. Then, we get into the new software, and we find out everything’s changed - we don’t know how anymore! That’s where I come in. Learning new software or new procedures takes time. I tell my clients:
It’s a brain transplant. And it’s gonna hurt for a while. You may hate me now, while it hurts. But in a short time, you’ll love the new you! Once the ‘hump’ of the learning curve is past, and you’re on the downward slope, you’ll look back at the old version of you and your office software and procedures, and wonder why you waited so long. And best of all, “Your Brain 2.0” is ready to take you into the future! Let me know what ‘surgery’ your business needs; I’m the ‘brain transplant’ expert. Helping you Flourish! Laurie
